Week #63– Concórdia – Episode #14 - Jello

My legs are dead jello because of how much we climbed hills this week haha. But it´s a good feeling. I´m pretty sure this Halloween was the first that I didn´t eat a piece of candy which is crazy.

This week was great, but had it´s difficulties. Ana, Ruan, and Carlos have been progressing really well. We had some great lessons this week and Saturday night we taught them how to have a Family Home Evening. We marked their baptism for the 12th but they didn´t show up on Sunday. That was a bummer, but we will keep on working with them!

I feel like one of the reasons I was sent to this area was to find Francinete and her family. They are so incredible. They have gone to church the last 2 weeks and are loving it. Her daughter, Luana, was baptized when she was 8, but they didn´t keep going to church after, so we have been reteaching them. I feel like we were sent in such a perfect moment as well. There is nothing better when you teach someone who really has a desire to learn and change and they pay close attention and ask questions.

Wednesday was a rough day... haha after lunch we were trying to take a shortcut to our next appointment because it was on the other side of the city, but we got lost in the jungle. We were trying to find our way through when we came to a barbed wire fence so we went under it. There were cattle roaming but we kept climbing. After about 15 minutes we got to another barbed wire fence and went under it, climbed a super steep dirt hill, and ended up on the ´´highway´´. Then we got to the guy´s house and he wasn´t there.  Best feeling ever! hahaha. Then the rest of our appointments fell through the same day. But that´s life as a missionary!

I would never trade this time I have had until now as a missionary. My testimony has grown so much and have I learned so much about my Savior. I am so thankful for his infinite sacrifice and I look forward to the day that I can thank him face to face and give him a hug.

Have a great week!
